The men had a percentage of 46.7 percent (156 of 334 athletes). However, the women compiled that total with just 183 athletes being counted, which resulted in 80.3 percent of the eligible Gannon female athletes qualifying. The GU women ranked seventh in the PSAC with 147.
Gannon had the second highest total of Scholar Athletes among its men's programs with 156. To be named a PSAC Scholar Athlete, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA or better. This academic achievement comes after Gannon's athletic program repeated as the PSAC's Dixon Trophy winner as the conference's all-sports champion in 2022-23. Gannon had 303 Scholar Athletes during the academic year, finishing second only to Mercyhurst's 311. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference released totals of Scholar Athletes for all 18 conference institutions on Wednesday. – Gannon University recorded the second-highest total of Scholar Athletes in the PSAC in 2022-23 while once again topping the 300 mark.
